HAVE A STRESS DAY TODAY

Today, my car breakdown in the middle of federal highway (not really in the middle la...emergency lane) near the EPF. Want to know what's going on? read on..

Chronology of incident:
- At 5.51am woke up by the sound my handphone, my friend called me that he can't pick up parcel at Gdex (PJ) because his tyre was punctured.
- 6.30am depart from my house in Balakong, stop by at petronas for petrol (time ni la minyak nak abis..)
- 6.57am reached my kid's school in bangsar and then, straight to Gdex PJ (Old Town)
- 7.15am reached Gdex. Pick up the parcels 7 of them. One from Kuantan, big box, i wonder what's inside, in my mind i thought "mayat ke.."
- 7.20am after bundled up the items into my car, and just about i want drove off, I've noticed that my temperature had gone up (up to 'H' - high la tu...). I don't really know since when it's has gone up...huhu...
- searching for the life water support at the back, sadly, to my disappointment, the mineral water only left half a bottle (*&#mp;%@)
- 7.25am after thinking for a while and not panicking like some of my female friends ("macam mana nak buat ni, macam mana nak buat ni..."- panik!), i just drove off and prayed to god nothing worst could happened (baru nak ingat tuhan..)
 - 7.30am Disaster!! the temperature had gone up until my old car could not bare anymore. The engine making really funny noise when i pushed down the accelerator..huhu...
- stuck at emergency lane with my hazard light flashes. Try calling for back up, Mr A (bukan nama sebenar) did not pick up phone, calling for 5 times (tidur mati ka...?!), Mr B, more screwed than Mr A, Thanks to Mr C and Mr D, they responded to my SOS call.
- what is more important that the parcels should reach my office before 7am, the time now is 7.35am!!! As i expected, a call from office ("parcel belum sampai lagi la..."..i said "ye tahu, i ada masalah peribadi nikejap lagi sampai la tu ye..") can't blame them also.
- seconds later Mr C arrived with his awek pulak. i said how to carry the parcel, I asked him to ditch the girl (i meant send her first la..) He arrived 15 minutes later and could only bring few kotak only. Mr D is nowhere to be seen
- My poor baby was starting to feel uncomfortable because of the heat (merengek..) and so was my other son and wife. and yet, the help seems too far away...
- Finally, Mr D arrived with 3 bottles of  "holy" water..the time is 8.20am. My wife called her office, "Emergency Leave".
- the water works fine, but the radiator doesn't, the hose is leaking. No use. Have to send to workshop immediately.
 - Don't want to call tow truck, not to that extent. Can my car survive with the water that i just poured in? I can't drive now as the road is jammed, the temperature will up again.
- Wait until the jam subside, the time : 8.50am. The heat taking it's toll, my son is crying..
- 9.05am, get my car going hoping it will just hold on just a little bit longer
- Disaster no 2!! Office key is with me! The other 2 key persons are on leave today...%$#@!
- Had to wait for backup again, just to handover the key...(are you stress now?!!)
- 9.15am, back up came. give him the key. Done.
- 9.16am, the longest 5km in my life!! Driving my 'potentially at a breaking point' car to pantai dalam for life saver workshop. My car survived!! The temperature just rose a notch when i reached there. Phew..
- 10.30am reached the office

Moral of the story:
1) it's not always your fault, so blame others
2) Don't panic! at least not in front of somebody
3) Keep enough water in your car
4) Think positive, there are more people having difficult time than you do..

I let it all out today so i can enjoy my live better...living and loving life-Haza Zain.

BIDOR HALF MARATHON

Arrived at Bidor about 5.45am after driving 1 and half hour from KL.

Quiet town with a landscape of old buildings. Bidor Half Marathon has been an annual event for the town folk. Organized by Bidor runners club.

Met with Running doc with her husband, trying to get the best of energy from Nasi Ayam (Chicken Rice) for this 21km run.

Me (with my Bad hair day) and Running doc & husband
The route mostly flat but 2 'physco' hills make the running even harder and it's quite difficult for me who only ate a red bean bun and 100 plus before the run..(no nasi ayam).

At Starting point I saw the Chap Ayam gang, fariz elias, Hilmi, Khairul, Alam shah, wan azmi, Sharafi, Azlan (elite), Ida, irina ramli (i think), suhailywaty ramli, robiyatul munawarah, ...just to name a few...
By the way, instead of using the digital timing clock, the bidor town folks used this analog round clock...

Running around the clock

I met with Yimster at 15km (he's fast!) running with camera and keep on snapping all the way (watch out for update in his blog). Very friendly, i think he was behind me just a split second, notice him at the medal collection area.

Run Wild, Run Free- Yimster
Finishing Arch  with a clear blue sky

With Mr Khairul from Chap Ayam runners- Down to earth guy.
He's going for 84km ultramarathon in Singapore!! err...can i have that nasi lemak?

With Alam Shah from Chap Ayam runners-2nd place in Senior Veteran

'Man in tights, down with side-stitch injury-wan azmi from Chap Ayam runners

My Kodak moment

My Canon moment

Proud. My lucky 65

For me the run was fun...met with a lot of friends...bloggers...and my strategy for this run  : 'start slow, maintain your pace and finish strong'..well.., not strong enough...

The GPS Thingy - 2 hrs 2 min.  - 21.30km

Next run : bomba run..i think...

THE ART OF A SIMPLE LIFE

The title is just to mislead myself. My wife sometimes (sometime..not always) sms me (sms not verbal) what do i eat for lunch. Today this is what i have for lunch.
My lunch break started at 12.20pm, reached my mother's home at about 12.30pm. Fetch my standard 3 son, send him to SK Bangsar about 3 km away. At 12.50pm back again to my favourite parking spot (mother's house).

Loitering at mamak stall while waiting for my other standard 1 (son) and standard 5 (daughter) back from school by bus.

warm barley carefully packed in a plastic tighten with rafia string (my drink for today)

My one and only motorbike key, (this is my 3rd duplicate copy) if i lose this one, pushing the motorbike all the way baby!!...

Normally my lunch is merely a sip of plain water or loitering at mamak stall for 20 minutes (with a cuppa of tea or milo) before my lunch is over..huhu..

Motorbike Petrol = RM3-00
Car Petrol = RM10-00
Drink = RM1-30
Lunch = NIL
Sweat and scorching sun = doesn't count
Watching my kids reach home/school safely = PRICELESS!!

Morale of the story :
1) Call your spouse to show them that you care
2) Cherish you mother's cook while she is still around (before it's too late)
3) Watch your kids frequently and make them happy (If they feel happy, you will be happier..trust me)
4) Duplicate your god damn motorbike's key!

GO BOWLING & NO RUNNING

Once again we (Me, Mai and Shana) organizing the Bowling friendly match at Kuala Lumpur Mega Lanes, Endah Parade on 10/4/2010. Thanks to all for your participation. Winning isn't everything...but hey, the hamper do looks good.

Thanks to the committee member Ms Mai for your mini doughnut, drinks and your Grade A customer service. Also thank you to Cik Shana for the sponsorship of chocolate and blueberry muffin, its taste sooo good and your 'night shift' packing service for the hamper. It's nice to work with you all.

Thank you to myself (proud of myself!)  for the picture, i'm not playing though..huhu...

With limited budget, we managed to give away each participant a goodie bag with a whole lot of fun inside!

48 participants registered with 98% attendance is considered a successfull event. To all my fellow bowlers who make it happen that day, you all are awesome!!

Next Event?...: Futsal (takde kasut la..)? Telematch (where?)? Treasure Hunt (done!)?, Badminton (too long)? Paint ball (ouch!),..what? bowling again?....
