Bukit Batu Beras - Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan

Bukit Batu Beras located in Simpang Durian, Jelebu Negeri Sembilan. 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur.

The height stated 635meters at the peak, but my suunto watch indicate 300 plus only (I will choose the latter).

The plan is to hike 2 hills in one day, so this was the 2nd one. Earlier we hiked Bukit Batu Sawa, 36km from here.

Summary of Bukit Batu Beras Hike :
Distance - 2.9km (one way), 1 hour 15 minutes
Total distance - 5.8km in 2 hours

Walk through palm oil tree plantation then jack fruit farm then palm oil tree plantation again - easy walk, flat
After that - entering the forest and its all ascending trail

Few Notes
There were blogs stated that 4 wheel vehicle can bring you to the starting point - entrance of jackfruit farm (with a sum of money maybe around RM30 per pax) but since we were there around 11am, there were no 4 wheel vehicle in operation.
I would think that this service is really unnecessary as the parking area to the starting point is just 31 minutes walk, 1.6km only - just walk la...

Let the Journey begin.

Parking area coordinate : 3.119468, 102.257171

This is where we came from

Park your car here, walk straight to the right of photo

 Go straight

Until you reach this bridge

This is Sungai Triang

End of the bridge, turn left

follow the path

White building structure on the left, few hundreds meters walk from the junction

manual harvesting only for the brave and strong

Take your left

780 meters from parking

next junction,Turn on your right

910 meters from start, 130 meters from TKPM Bemban Signboard

Just follow the tail

Cross the bridge

till you reach here...the jack fruit farm

The entrance. normally the gate will be opened. If it is close, just get closer to the padlock, you know what to do.

The jack fruit farm is 1.63 km from start

Just follow the road, going downhill until you reach palm oil tree area

400 meters from the Jack fruit farm entrance - just ignore the sign, just follow the road. This is not the entrance

Turn on your right, it is a bit elusive, just keep your eyes open. There is no signboard to Bukit Batu Beras

410 meters from the Jack fruit entrance

The red signboard (saying it is a reserved forest) which is the major landmark of the entrance
From here, the trail is straight forward or "up" forward

2.84km from start

Perfect spot for a night in the jungle...err...no...

From the campsite, it is less than 100 meters to the peak

Nearly there

Yes, we are out in the open

The peak is a rock surface with bottom less pit. So be extra careful here.

if you dare!

 Nice isn't it?

2.88 km from start

Done....

Happy hiking.....

    1. I would advise to have a permit, however, if you're a risk taker, you may go there without one. Just don't let anything happen to you like getting lost, injured which requires the service of our bomba, police or Jabatan Hutan.
